Samantha Manzo Villaseñor

Biography

Bachelor’s in Actuarial Science from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).

She has more than 7 years of experience developing statistical models focused on risk management for organizations in the financial system and the retail industry.

In academia, she advises degree theses focused on applying advanced modeling to predict the probability of default of customers of financial institutions. She was also a Differential and Integral Calculus teacher at the high school level, and also directed the research work for DGIRE on the wage gap in Mexico with a gender focus: “When Women Lose, Mexico Loses”.

She has been in charge of the team of data scientists at PFSTech, responsible for building projects focused on statistical solutions for financial institutions from the commercial phase to the follow-up phase. She is currently Key Account Sales Manager, in charge of driving the development of AIS family solutions for the credit life cycle through data intelligence and technology tools.

Elías Bethencourt Parodi

Biography

Master’s in business administration (MBA) from the Universidad del CEMA (Argentina), Master’s in ethical governance of artificial intelligence from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (Spain) and a degree in International Trade.

He has more than 16 years of experience developing business at the regional level in Latin America, in the fields of artificial intelligence, software and consulting, for organizations in the financial system and the retail industry.

In academia, he is a speaker at congresses on topics related to digital transformation and artificial intelligence and a trainer in courses for financial institutions sponsored by ALIDE (Latin American Association of Development Financing Institutions). He was also a professor of the Postgraduate Program in Strategic Management at the Universidad de Belgrano (Argentina) and an evaluator of the Ibero-American Model of Excellence in Management.

After 3 years leading the Mercosur region and 2 and a half years in charge of the Mexico, Central America and Caribbean region, since 2022 he has been director for Latin America at AIS, a Spanish multinational that is part of the PFS Group, with 37 years of history and specialized in artificial intelligence for credit risk, operating in more than 25 countries in Europe, the Americas and Africa.

Biography

Quilvio Cabral is Senior Vice President of Credit Risk at Banco BHD, S.A., Dominican Republic, with more than 25 years of experience in risk management, corporate and investment banking. He specializes in credit, market, liquidity and operational risks. Quilvio has a solid academic background in finance and administration, with postgraduate studies at renowned universities in the United States and the United Kingdom, and has been Chair of the Risk Committee of the Dominican Republic Banks Association. He is also a university professor and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

Jose Odalis Ortiz Abreu

Biography

He graduated in Economics, with a concentration in Finance, from PUCMM in 1989. He has completed postgraduate studies at several international universities such as FIU and UM. He has completed diploma programs at several institutes, such as CIEDES, BARNA and INCAE, among others. He has been a university lecturer and a member of service clubs.

In his professional life, for more than 35 years he has held various banking roles, mainly in Business, operations and credit. He currently holds the position of Vice President of the Credit Normalization Area at Banco Popular Dominicano.
