Who we are

This site belongs to the Dominican Republic Risk Management Club (CGRRD), a private, independent, non-profit association governed by Law No. 122-05. Our address is La Isla Building, office 206, Av. Tiradentes at calle Presidente González, Ensanche Naco, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

By using the site, submitting a form or paying for a service you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Use of the site

The site is for informational and educational purposes and for networking among risk management professionals. You agree to use it in good faith and not to:

  • try to access areas, accounts or data that are not yours;
  • interfere with the operation of the site or its security measures;
  • submit false information, information belonging to others or information you are not authorized to share;
  • use the site for unlawful activities or to send unsolicited advertising to other users.

Full membership

You can apply for full membership from the page Apply for membership. The process has these steps:

  • Application. You complete the form with truthful information and upload your identity document and your résumé as a PDF or the link to your LinkedIn profile. The documents are used to verify your identity, for assemblies and for other requirements of a non-profit association.
  • Email confirmation. You confirm your email with the link we send you. Each email address belongs to one person; if you are already a member, you cannot register again with the same email.
  • Payment. You pay the annual fee with one of the methods available on the payment page. The current amount is shown in the form before you pay and there is no separate registration fee.
  • Ratification. The Board of Directors ratifies your admission in accordance with the Club’s bylaws, at its next session. You receive your membership number when the payment is confirmed and access to the Members Area when your admission is ratified.

Membership lasts twelve months from the date of your payment. One month before it expires we email you a link to renew it. If you do not renew, you keep access to the Members Area for 30 days after expiration; after that, access is suspended.

Your rights and duties as a member are those set out in the bylaws. If there is any difference between these terms and the bylaws, the bylaws prevail.

The Club may decline an application, for example if the information cannot be verified or the requirements of the bylaws are not met. If you had already paid, the payment is returned to you by the same means you used.

Payments

Payments are made by bank transfer, PayPal or credit or debit card, depending on the methods you see available on the payment page. Prices are expressed in the currency indicated for each transaction.

Card and PayPal payments are processed by external payment providers. The Club does not store your card details. If you pay by bank transfer, you must attach the proof of payment on the payment page; your payment is considered received once the finance team verifies it.

When a payment is completed you will receive a receipt or confirmation by email. Keep it: you will need it if you request a refund.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

The rules for delivery, cancellation, returns and refunds are set out in the Delivery, Cancellation, Returns and Refund Policy. It forms part of these terms.

Refund requests are sent to info@gestionderiesgo.org with the proof of payment.

Your account and the Members Area

Your username is your email address. You choose your password and are responsible for keeping it confidential. If you suspect someone else knows it, change it immediately or write to us.

The recordings, presentations, documents and other exclusive content in the Members Area are for your personal use. You may not copy, redistribute or publish them, or share your access with other people. The Club may suspend the access of anyone who breaks this rule.

Events, training and webinars

Each activity (conference, breakfast conference, course, seminar or webinar) publishes its own conditions on its page: date, capacity, price, requirements and how to register. Places are limited and are assigned in order of registration; when they run out, a waiting list may be opened.

The Club may reschedule or cancel an activity. If it does so after you have registered, we will email you the available options, such as a new date or a refund in accordance with the refund policy.

Intellectual property

The texts, design, logo, images and materials on the site belong to the Club or its authors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may quote excerpts with credit to the source and a link to the site. For any other use you need written authorization.

Third-party presentations and publications retain their authors’ rights and any conditions they specify.

Information, not advice

The content of the site and of the Club’s activities is informational and educational. It is not legal, financial, regulatory or investment advice, nor does it replace professional judgment. The Club strives to keep the information accurate and up to date, but does not guarantee that it is free of errors and is not responsible for decisions made solely on the basis of it.

Personal details

We process your data in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Law No. 172-13 on the Comprehensive Protection of Personal Data. There we explain what data we collect, what we use it for, how we protect it and how you can access, correct or request deletion of it.

Links to other sites

The site may link to third-party pages (agencies, media, social networks, payment providers). The Club does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content or policies.

Changes to these terms

The Club may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date. If a change affects an application or a payment in progress, we will let you know by email.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, without prejudice to our first trying to resolve it in good faith.
