Speaker: Marcela Villegas Conde
Vice President of Risk and Compliance at Banco de Bogotá
Marcela Villegas, current Vice President of Risk and Compliance at Banco de Bogotá, is an outstanding leader in the financial sector with more than 20 years of experience in risk management, strategic consulting and banking. A professional in Finance, Government and International Relations from the Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a Master’s in Banking and Finance from the AFI Escuela de Madrid and a senior management program in Leadership and Global Business Management from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated with honors.
Throughout her career, she has held key positions at institutions such as the Banco de la República, Grupo Aval and Fiduciaria Bogotá, among others. In her current role, she leads the risk management and compliance strategy, strengthening soundness and sustainability in a dynamic financial environment. She is also a strong advocate for the inclusion of women in banking, driving initiatives that promote gender equity in the financial sector.

Social Banking Manager at the Dominican Republic Multiple-Service Banks Association (ABA)
Economist with a master’s in Applied Economics with a focus on Economic and Social Development from the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing, China. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in economics and socioeconomic development. She is currently Chair of the Sustainable and Inclusive Banking Committee of the Latin American Federation of Banks (FELABAN) and holds the position of Social Banking Manager at the Dominican Republic Multiple-Service Banks Association (ABA).
