During the course, students will receive electronic documentation on each of the topics and sessions, which will serve as the basis for passing the accreditation exams.

The program is adapted to the content needed to obtain the FRMTM qualification. GARP’s FRMTM certification has 2 levels. Each year, GARP organizes exams to pass each of the two levels. The Level I exam must be passed in order to take the Level II exam.

The exams for both levels are taken in English. So that students can prepare properly for them, the course material is mixed (Spanish and English), although the exercises and mock exams will be in English for more practical and effective preparation. In this regard, students should have at least a basic level of reading English. The sessions will be held in Spanish.

The course is designed so that students can naturally sit the first-level exam in the May 2022 call and the second-level exam in December 2022, so that if the course is completed successfully, students can obtain the full accreditation within a year.

Classes are in live online format with the option of later access to the recorded classes, so students must have a personal computer with an internet connection, camera, microphone and sufficient bandwidth.

Live online classes will usually be held on Fridays from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (with a 30-minute break). In addition, there will be classes on some Saturday mornings.

Students can review the class recordings if they could not attend the live session or to reinforce their knowledge of the subjects.

The sessions will be both theoretical and practical (during which exercises will be done). The live online format allows students to raise questions with the instructor immediately; in addition, instructors are available to resolve any questions students may have after class (via email).

The course support documentation will be distributed to students in electronic format. The documentation for the theoretical sessions consists of:

– An extensive presentation with the detailed contents of the session.
– A summary presentation of the session (with approximately 5 slides) that

allows students a quick review of the whole syllabus ahead of the exam. – A set of exercises to solve after the session
– The solutions to those exercises

The documentation for the practical sessions consists of:

– A set of exercises to solve during the session
– Afterwards, a document with the solutions to the exercises solved during

the session is distributed.

During the course, two mock exams are held that try to replicate the conditions students will face in the official exam.
The exercises in these mock exams are later solved in specific sessions.
